Title- You Can Do It!
Author- Tony Dungy

I really enjoyed reading this book because it encourages children to do whatever it is they want to do, because they can do anything they set their mind to. It sends a positive message for children to dream big. I also liked the fact that the two brothers had a very close and healthy relationship with each other, and with their dad. I would definitely reccomend this book for anyone who is looking for a picturebook/realistic fiction book, and it's multicultural!

A Bad Case of the Stripes- David Shannon

I had never read this book until recently. The illustrations are really colorful and vivid- really captures the readers attention. It is an easy read that teaches children a valuable lesson on the importance of being yourself and not worrying about what others will think/say. Professor Greb told me about a young child who was scared of the book and so it wasn't allowed in the classroom. It is not a scary book by any means, but perhaps the illustrations can cause fear in some young children.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid- Jeff Kinney

I have read all 3 of the books and LOVED them! They are a super easy read and you are guaranteed to catch yourself laughing out loud. I read them in just a few hours because I literally could not put them down! I had my 10 year old sister read the first one and she loved it so much that she also read all of them.
